HOT ROD's 1,100 Horsepower Bonneville Big-Block
Enjoy a full length video from Stock Car Racing. This is the engine that will be in the Turk/Freiburger So-Al Special Camaro at Bonneville in 2011. It's a 4.560x3.766, 491ci big-block Chevy with 10.0:1 compression, AFR 335 heads, a 272/276-at-0.050 solid roller cam, a Brodix ported intake, and a 1,000 HP Holley. The Blower is a Vortech YSi at 9 psi peak, and it's blowing through one of the new "flying saucer" carb enclosures. The best power was 1,099 at 7,000 rpm.
