The paint scheme aims to celebrate each organization's personal heroics and commitment to service. For years, the FDNY and Cingular Wireless have supported the Special Olympics, which provides training and athletic competition for people with mental retardation.
"I've seen firsthand the hard work and dedication that the people of both these organizations display in their everyday lives," says Gordon. "They're my heroes."
Tasteful MarketingSo, what was the subject of this month's Stock Car Racing interview doing flipping hamburgers at Lowe's Motor Speedway? Simple. He was hungry for business.
Bruton Smith, head of the company that owns the Charlotte track, whipped up "Bruton's Backyard Billionaire Burgers" trying to drum up a craving among fans for the many NASCAR events held at the track during May.
"This recipe makes the most mouth-watering hamburgers you've ever tasted and it will add just the right spice to a great Memorial Day weekend of tailgating at the Coca-Cola 600," Smith told a media gathering.
We're passing along Smith's recipe. All we can guarantee is that these hamburgers are rich in calories.
