The brakes were working on the car with no leaks. Pads and shoes were replaced, but the master cylinder brake lines were never removed. An adapter plate replaced the power booster, and the master cylinder bolted right back up.

The top was removed with a reciprocating saw. This step gives easy access for fabricating the 'cage. Many years ago I promised myself never to build another stock car without removing the top. It is not difficult to remove it nor is it difficult to replace.
