2012 $30,000 FASTRAK Triple Crown – A Memorial Day Weekend Tradition Carnesville, GA (May-18) The 2012 FASTRAK Racing Series triple crown Weekend is quickly approaching. Pro Late Model teams throughout the southeast are preparing for the Memorial weekend extravaganza. The Triple Crown is a staple on the FASTRAK/City Chevrolet Touring Division schedule where numerous teams have competed in the annual Memorial Day Weekend event since its inception. Each of the events are $2000 To Win/$250 To Start events. Teams are reminded that each of the events will be point races for the FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Division. In addition, as has been customary a special award will be presented to the driver with the highest point total over the course of the entire 3 events which make up the 2012 FASTRAK Racing Series 2012 Triple Crown. A championship presentation will take place at Princeton Speedway as we crown the 2012 Triple Crown champion. The 2012 FASTRAK Triple Crown is set to kick off Friday May 25th at Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, NC. Cleveland County has become of sorts for the FASTRAK Racing Series in central North Carolina as consistent car counts of upwards of 20 FASTRAK Late Models on any given week will attest to. On Saturday May 26th, FASTRAK teams head north to southwestern Virginia to visit the familiar confines of Wythe Raceway. Located in Rural Retreat, VA, Wythe Raceway is regarded by most as one of the premier facilities in the eastern third of the nation by race fans and race teams alike. The high speed and multi-groove venue has hosted some of pro late model’s largest and most competitive events. Following the events at Wythe, the Triple Crown will close out on Sunday May27that Princeton Speedway in Princeton WV. On many occasions in the past, Princeton has played host to the FASTRAK Racing Series Triple Crown, always on the final night of the 3 event affair, where the racing has always been close and very exciting at the 4/10 mile facility. I am curious, NASCAR is all over the TV, but I do not see any real stock car racing events being broadcast. I used to watch NASCAR back when they ran actual stock cars that you could go down to the show room and buy. When they switched to running special race cars that have nothing to do with stock, I quit watching. If I want to watch specially built race cars race I will watch the Indy 500. I would love to watch some real stock car racing on TV but other than Drag racing on a rare occurrence, I have not found any other races being shown?

I welded 2 pieces of angle iron together and ran both of the discs for 30 minutes each on a frame. CGW wheel was a harder wheel and required a little more force to hold in place while grinding. Hello, Question: How many drivers would use financing to complete their cars in order to get a leap on sponsorship? We are thinking about offering financing for drivers to use to get parts for their cars. We are thinking somewhere in the range of $3-$10k. This could be used for parts to get you into the race or additional parts that drivers could use for backup. We have just started getting into the sponsorship side of things but also want to offer the financing to help move the sport forward. Thoughts?

Hi, I'm a big stock car fan and like a lot of fans I dream of driving one. Someday maybe, but until then I have my '87 Caprice street machine. I don't know much about racing equipment or what all it specifically takes to get a car to corner better but I hope you guys on here could give me some advice. I'm planning on upgrading my wheels and tires, saw some Bassett DOT approved wheels, a set of 15x7's with 3.625" backspace going for a pretty good deal. With what little I know I would assume that you should buy the widest wheel that will fit so you can get a really wide tire on there and the wheel should also have the most backspacing possible so that the cars stance is wide? Of course I'm not exactly sure what will fit on my Caprice yet. Not sure what to look for in tires as far as height and width, and tread because like I said this is a street car, but I only drive it on dry days. Any help appreciated thanks!

I guess there are adequate complaints right here and elsewhere to set this steering issue (pulling to the left) into its personal thread. I've skilled it and I know others have. Just wished to see just how a lot of there are and if everyone else has discovered how to fix it. It seems to be developed into the steering logic, perhaps to avoid torque steering concerns?
