Here are the parts needed to plumb the accumulator line to the block. We opted for a short pipe nipple and a coupling added to the hose fitting. The assembled length of this unit makes it possible to remove the fittings as a unit without removing the hose. Use a small amount of sealer, such as Permatex No. 2.

The ball valve is a hardware store item. It screws into the bottom of the accumulator with the proper pipe fittings. Notice where we welded a bracket to the handle. This allows the control rod to push and pull at the correct angle. The action of the control rod can loosen these fittings if Loctite is not used.

Push-on type hose was used for our installation. Be certain you have the correct fittings for this hose. The three shown on the left are for air and fuel hose; only the one on the right can be used for push-on hose. The fittings are made specifically for push-on hose and should not be interchanged.
