This is a used ETC system using radar (black cylinder at left) to measure ground speed to calculate wheel slip. The cylinder is mounted with line-of-sight to the track surface. Sensor-based ETC units like this are harder to mount to defy detection, just because of the number of parts and wires. View Related Article
