If you don't have protection in front of you, then get some. Consider three 3/8-inch vertical bars to be a minimum. I prefer a grid of at least 3/16-inch bars with openings of about 2 x 3 inches. This grid should cover an area in front of the driver and wrap around at a 45-degree angle to the right of the driver. View Related Article
