This floor jack was purchased new from Sears in 1976. The author paid $76 as part of a bicentennial sale. Recently, the internal seals started to leak and the jack no longer works well. With proper care, a floor jack can last many years. For much less than the cost to repair the jack, a newer, lighter floor jack can be purchased. View Related Article
