This piston gets a double dose of coatings. A friction-reducing coating (DFL-1) was applied to the piston skirts. Then CBC2, a thermal barrier, was sprayed on the piston top. For small parts, a toaster oven will bake the part at 350 degrees F. Larger parts or a set of pistons may require more space. View Related Article
