The first of these two charts (A) from Perfect Circle depicts thedifferences in the quality of materials. I found the fatigue strength ofsteel to be interesting given how much flex a ring must endure. Thesecond (B) tells another interesting story. Notice how much compressionthe second ring has to hold.
