Daytona International Speedway...

Daytona International Speedway President John Graham (right) and Thom LaClaire, Director of Captial Projects, place seats in the Speedways new Earnhardt Tower grandstand. The Tower, scheduled for completion for Speedweeks 2001, is 266 feet wide and 104 feet tall and will include restrooms and concession space in addition to its seating.
This week Daytona International Speedway President John Graham donned a hard hat and lent a hand to construction workers placing seats in the Earnhardt Tower, the newest addition to the Speedways Frontstretch Grandstands
Thom La Claire, Speedway Director of Capital Projects, gave Graham some instructions on installing the black and white padded seats in the Earnhardt Tower in preparation for guests expected for Speedweeks 2001.
"Our guests will begin arriving for Speedweeks on February 1 for the Rolex 24 at Daytona and will be with us through the February 18 Daytona 500," said Graham as he fitted seat cushions into brackets in the new tower. "We want to make sure they are comfortable."
Due to the new grandstand construction, tickets for the Daytona 500 are now available. For your ticket to the "Great American Race" and all the events of Speedweeks, call the Speedway Ticket Office at (904) 253-7223 or go online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com
